For my third project I have been working on these three things that still need to be glazed and fired but previous to this project I was working on a bowl that took me a while so that is why I’m still a little behind. I made a bowl on the wheel and two hanging pieces that I’m excited to finish

For my second piece I drew penguins because they are also a part of the endangered species list for arctic animals. By drawing these animals I want to continue to bring awareness to their living situations and my hope is that people would start to look after our environment more. Some elements of art I used was contrast between the penguins and the snowy background. Also texture in the fluffy baby penguin. I also used unity because the two penguins are there together in unity. My strength in this piece was the larger penguin and blending its colors and my growth was in drawing the fluffy feathers of the baby.

For my concentration topic I am focusing on arctic animals to bring awareness to their beauty and to hopefully inform people to try and make a difference in the world so they can continue to thrive. I drew this whale because it is one of the many endangered arctic animals. I wanted to show the elegance of the whale and the beauty of their species. The elements of art I used was contrast between the whale and the water. Also movement within the water and the whale swimming. I also used color in the water. I’m going toward a more realistic approach for my series and want the animals to look as real as possible. I think my strength in this piece is blending the colors and a growth I made was in drawing water.
